We call ourselves a "Faith Family." We are FOR each other. We are FOR our community. We are FOR You! The scripture is our authoritative guide for living, for life. We invest in growing our understanding of what the Bible teaches and intentionally adjust our lives to live it. We worship together on Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m.with a blended service of contemporary music and older hymns. We use music, drama, video, and other media to lead you in worship, followed by a dynamic message from the heart of Pastor Greg! We are convinced that worship is not about what "we get out of it", worship is about what we bring to God whom we love and serve. We are FOR you becoming a part of our Faith Family! We Believe:
In God. God, creator of heaven and earth, eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In Jesus. Jesus was conceived of God and born of the virgin Mary. He was both fully Divine and fully human. He lived a sinless life. He was crucified for crimes He didn't commit, and through His resurrection, freed all people from the power of sin and death. He will return again. All who respond to the work and teachings of Jesus by a personal belief that issues forth in personal obedience to Jesus and His teachings will live forever with Him. In the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit continually draws people closer to God. The Holy Spirit convicts of sin, encourages believers, transforms them to become like Christ, and empowers them to serve others. In Salvation. Salvation is a free gift from God. Salvation is God’s plan for fulfilling His desire for all humanity to be in right relationship with Him. Salvation is turning from a self-centered life and turning to God and accepting the work Christ accomplished in His death and resurrection, one receives new and eternal life. In the Bible. The Bible is the expressed word of God and is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice. In the Church. Though there are many expressions of the Church in our world, there is only one universal Church, made up of all who have received Jesus Christ as Lord. The Church exists to be the body of Christ in the world today. At Faith Community Church we are a diverse congregation of age, race, and social status. Membership at Faith is determined by a person’s relationship with Jesus Christ. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead then you will be saved. The Lord adds to the church daily, those who are being saved. (Romans 10:9-13; and Acts 2:42-47.) |
